Accredited Education – Critical Care
In the critical care setting, pulmonary complications contribute to the mortality and morbidity of critically ill patients. Since 1982, KCI has offered education programs addressing the prevention of, and complications associated with, immobility.

  1. Turning the Corner to Better Oxygenation  
    
Objectives:
  • Identify immobility as a potential hazard to your patient’s health
  • Discuss the Therapeutic Positioning Strategies that can be utilized to prevent or treat the complications of immobility
  • Develop an understanding of ventilation & perfusion (V/Q) matching and its impact on oxygenation
  • Define the nursing guidelines for the appropriate use of Kinetic Therapy™
  • Review the research relevant to Therapeutic Positioning
    Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider     Number 05409, for 1 contact hour, 1 CEU for CMCN renewal requirements     by the ABMCN, 1.0 CEU (CCMC).
